Internships
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is looking for talented and motived students for paid internships in many areas of the company in our Americas Division, including Brazil and Mexico. You can find internships in Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Human Resources, Communication, Finance, Accounting and more.
The HYMH internship program doesn’t give you busy work, it gives you opportunities for real-world experiences related to your interests. It’s a meaningful, purposeful internship that will:
- Provide challenging projects and tasks

Apprenticeship Programme
We are also pleased to offer an Apprenticeship Programme in our EMEA Division (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
To be successful in our rewarding programme, you will need to demonstrate initiative, have a willingness to learn, be able work on your own and be a great team player. The expectations vary between roles, but as a guide, here is what we are looking for from all of our Apprentices:
- GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential
- 2 A-level passes or equivalent Level 3 qualification
Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to work in one of four key departments located at our European Headquarters in Frimley, Surrey:
- Communications
- Marketing
- Sales
- People Development
From day one you will be an integral part of the team. We have designed a comprehensive programme to support you to make sure you hit the ground running and set you up for success. You will be managed by the best leaders and have the opportunity to be mentored by exceptional people who are passionate about developing individuals just starting out in their careers. In addition, throughout the scheme, you will have regular development, support and coaching from the People Development Team in EMEA.
Furthermore, you will be given the opportunity to shadow top performers in different departments to learn the best from the best. This level of responsibility is designed to help you develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to achieve your ambitions.
Interested in applying for an apprenticeship in EMEA?
The initial assessments take place during July and August. Successful candidates from the assessment centre will then have their final interviews with the respective senior leader for each department and agree on a mutually agreeable start date.
